Empowering Public Health through Strategic Communication: The Role of the Regional Action Framework on Communication for Health

Utilizing Communication to Enhance Public Health in the Western Pacific Region

In today’s digital age, strategic communication is vital to public health. It involves using expertise, skills, and resources to plan, execute, and assess interventions that persuade governments to adopt policies that improve the well-being of individuals and empower healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. Additionally, strategic communication can influence individuals to take steps to protect their own health as well as that of their families and communities. The Regional Action Framework on Communication for Health (C4H) is designed to help Member States in the Western Pacific region adopt this approach. It provides guidance to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Member States on how to use C4H effectively in order to achieve common public health objectives.
