Local Business Suffers Extensive Damage in Fire; Owner Determined to Rebuild

A devastating fire broke out at Tri-State Lawn Care, a local business in Flatwoods, Kentucky on Tuesday afternoon. The building was occupied by three to four people at the time, all of whom managed to escape unharmed. The fire was caused by an electrical malfunction and quickly spread throughout the building, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.

Flatwoods Fire Chief Brent Dean reported that the fire broke out at the business on Argillite Road. The building was a subsidiary of Tri-State Enterprise and had been owned by Michael Wheeler for decades. Wheeler, unable to be on-site during the fire, expressed shock and disbelief as he watched his life’s work go up in flames in a matter of minutes. Despite his devastation, Wheeler was grateful that everyone made it out safely.

Wheeler is determined to rebuild and move forward. He emphasized the importance of finding solutions and maintaining a positive outlook in the face of adversity. As a long-standing presence in the community, Tri-State Lawn Care remains committed to overcoming this setback and rebuilding for the future. The community rallied around Wheeler and offered their support as he navigates this difficult time. Firefighters from across the region responded to the blaze and were able to contain it before it caused any further damage.
