Israeli Army confirms Hamas’ number 3 killed in Gaza attack last month

The Israeli Army confirmed the death of Marwan Issa, a senior Hamas member and ‘number 3’ in the organization, during an airstrike in Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. Issa played a key role in organizing attacks on October 7 that resulted in numerous casualties. His demise was announced by White House National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan. Another senior Hamas member, Commander Ghazi Abu Tamaa, was also killed in the same attack.

Israel launched its offensive following the October 7 attacks, leading to thousands of Palestinian casualties in Gaza and the West Bank. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported over 32,300 deaths, with additional casualties resulting from Israeli security forces and settlers. The ongoing conflict has sparked international concern and condemnation.

The targeted airstrikes have led to significant disruptions in Hamas leadership and coordination as key figures fall to violent attacks. Despite these losses, both sides continue their military actions without signs of respite. The situation remains volatile, with civilians bearing the brunt of violence and insecurity. Efforts for peace and dialogue appear challenging amidst ongoing violence and bloodshed.
