Harnessing the Power of Strategic Communication for Public Health in the Digital Age

Improving Public Health in the Western Pacific Region through Enhanced Communication: A Regional Action Framework – World

Effective communication is crucial in public health, particularly in the digital age where information spreads rapidly. Strategic communication plays an essential role in promoting policies that enhance people’s well-being. Governments can encourage the implementation of such policies by utilizing communication strategically. Health workers can also deliver high-quality care and motivate individuals to engage in behaviors that promote good health for themselves, their families, and their communities through strategic communication. The Regional Action Framework on Communication for Health (C4H) has been developed to guide Member States in utilizing the C4H approach to work towards shared public health objectives in the Western Pacific region. It outlines the steps that WHO and Member States can take to plan, implement, and evaluate interventions that promote policies to enhance people’s well-being.
