Phil Mickelson’s Longtime Caddie, Brother Tim, Announces Retirement: Time to Focus on Family and Great Memories

Phil announces Tim Mickelson’s retirement as his brother’s caddie

Phil Mickelson’s longtime caddie and brother, Tim Mickelson, has announced his retirement from the game. After nearly seven years on the job, Tim is leaving to focus on his family as his brother’s life has evolved with Maranda and their growing family.

Tim first took on the role of Phil’s caddie in 2017 after a split with their previous bagman, Bones Mackay. During his time as Phil’s caddie, Tim helped him win three times on the PGA Tour, including the 2021 PGA Championship. He also accompanied Phil to LIV Golf two years ago, although they have not seen much success in the Saudi-backed league.

Phil expressed gratitude for the great moments shared with Tim both on and off the course over the past eight years. While no replacement has been announced yet, LIV Golf is planning its next event at Doral outside of Miami next week.
