Union-Endicott High School’s Technology Department Earns International Recognition with NYSTEA Award

Union-Endicott High School’s technology department honored with Program of Excellence Award

The technology department at Union-Endicott High School has been honored with the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association Program of Excellence Award. The award, which recognizes outstanding programs in technology education, was presented to teachers Corey Munn, Mike Wichowski, and Tom Palazzo at the NYSTEA annual conference.

The department offers a range of programs including welding, automotive, flight simulation, and carpentry. Over the past few years, enrollment in these programs has grown significantly. Engineering Teacher Corey Munn expressed his gratitude for the award, stating that it is a great honor to be recognized by his peers for the hard work put into the program.

The Program of Excellence Award is one of the highest honors given by the New York State Technology & Engineering Educators Association. As a result of this recognition, Union-Endicott High School will be representing New York State for the International Technology Educators & Engineering Association’s Program of Excellence Award.

Overall, this award highlights the dedication of the department to providing high-quality technology education to students. The efforts put into the program have not gone unnoticed and have been recognized as outstanding by their peers.
