Wellness Expo Set to Educate Monticello Community on Coco-Rectal Health During Awareness Month

Wellness Expo to be Hosted by Jefferson & Madison County Health Departments

In honor of National Colo-rectal Cancer Awareness Month, the Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee is hosting a wellness expo in Monticello. The event will feature more than 30 vendors and will take place at the First Baptist Church of Monticello from 4 to 7 p.m.

Administrator Kimberly Allbritton emphasizes the importance of events like this one, especially during awareness months like Colo-rectal Cancer Awareness Month. The expo aims to raise awareness about colo-rectal health and provide valuable information to the community. Attendees can expect free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more.

Second Harvest of the Big Bend will also be present at the expo, providing free produce giveaways and cooking demonstrations to promote healthy eating habits.
